D-mannose is an isomer of glucose found in fruits, and in our cells. It has the ability to prevent bacterial attachment to the bladder wall. It is not stored or metabolised in our body like glucose, but it is rapidly eliminated through urine. It is recommended by the NHS for bladder health.
